You don't have to travel far to find good fishing. The Belize River is close by, the Sibun River is just down the coast, and a number of mainland lagoons sit between the two. In front of Belize City, the nearby cayes are surrounded by an abundance of grass and sand flats.
With Permit, Bonefish, Tarpon, and Snook all found close by, there is plenty of variety to work with and a Grand Slam is a real possibility. Best of all, less time travelling means more time actually fishing.
